Rising Above a Sea of Competitors

By Susan Hamilton
13 Aug

Magnetic marketing.

Getting found and getting found by people ready to buy from you are two different things. Your website is integral, it’s NOT just an address. If purchasing customers aren’t purchasing from you, it’s a problem – but I have good news. It’s a fixable one.

Your website should be doing several things for you right now, in your absence. While you go about your day and perform the services of your business, your website should be promoting you and collecting information that will help you improve.

See, you have to appear with the big dogs of your industry – and you have to be the better choice for everyone comparing you. That’s 97% of everyone. You just can’t ignore the fact that they want to quickly learn about you online, and often those big marketing budgets make larger companies look like they offer the better deal.

If YOU offer the better deal, you have an obligation to your communities to let people know about you. I can show you how.

Blogging for your business is something you have to be able to do today. It’s not silly, it’s not a waste of time, and it’s not going to ‘give away the farm.’ Instead, it will show you’re the clear choice in a sea of competitors – IF you do it right.

Remember these tips while you get comfortable blogging, and if you’re in the Dallas area, make sure you follow this link to register for my Learn to Blog For Your Business classes. I’ll walk you through EVERYTHING.

  • Pay close attention to the things your customers are asking about. Address those things in your blog.
  • Pay close attention to the areas where your competitors are succeeding. Think about how you can make a better point and focus on that for a while.
  • Keep your language very conversational, so no matter how technical your audience is, they actually ENJOY reading your material. A common mistake is writing in the language of your particular field. While you shouldn’t ignore that, you should be doing everything in your power to make your posts easily digestible. Remember that the goal is always to get your content shared.

Want to learn more? We’ll be holding Learn to Blog For Your Business classes in the Dallas area, and you’re invited. I want everyone who walks away from this training to know how to write faster and easier, and EXACTLY what step to take next.

Save these dates!

"All that stuff we always hear about shaping clients into a template so they use all your services never worked for us. You have always demonstrated and explained what you would like to do, and you represent your fees accurately. After that, you allow us to move forward or continue in our own ways. Thank you."
