A Business Card With Influence, Who Knew?

February 27, 2012 by Susan Hamilton 2 Comments

My husband, Randy, brings home piles of business cards every day. By the end of the week, his back pocket is one-inch thick and wearing a hole in his pants. I always tease him about collecting so many cards, but I rarely see him whip one out to share.

Facebook Can Help Your Business

It’s not unusual for one of us to get pulled aside by our clients, somewhat timidly asking to learn more about Facebook. For those of us who didn’t get turned on by the notion of a public online profile that connects you to everyone you’ve ever known (usually those of us a little older!) Facebook’s continuing changes are overwhelming to keep up with, and the navigation and terminology can be a little confusing.

That’s not to say it’s more important than your website, that would be a backwards way to look at it.

Facebook links to your website when you fill out the profile with all your business information. That link is one of the most important links you can get.

The Low-Down on Marketing ‘Up’

Just how hard (or easy) is it to turn luxury items or excellent services into cash? You know the adage, “it takes money to make money.” That’s not entirely untrue. But it’s not entirely true, either.

The key is to understand what makes the right audience buy, and then speak to that exact audience. The right marketing tools help you to do this well. While there’s a lot you can do yourself these days, you need a healthy understanding of customer attraction. After all, anyone can buy something. The question is, can appreciative, higher-spending clients and faithful distributors become interested in your stuff, and when they do – will your presentation convince them to call you or come to your store?  [Read more…] about The Low-Down on Marketing ‘Up’

Make sure customers trust your email address.

Make Sure Customers Trust Your Email Address

February 20, 2012 by Gerald Voigt

A Tale of Three Woes

Using an email address other than your domain name, or one that promotes your brand, makes completing the sales cycle tricky.

In this day and age of independent contractors and sales agents, it can be bothersome trying to figure out who is who selling what on behalf of who. Poor branding efforts dilute a clear sales channel, and that’s not good for the consumer. If it’s not good for the consumer, it’s not good for your company, plain and simple.

Let me explain why: [Read more…] about Make Sure Customers Trust Your Email Address

How Does Article Marketing Help Your Brand?

Website marketing strategy.Developing content for your business website is only one way your brand becomes recognized online. Article marketing will help your brand become more familiar, and provide healthy links back to your website.

Several online article submission sites exist, but I don’t recommend them all. You want your material where journalists, bloggers, and industry enthusiasts are more likely to pick them up.
