Change is good, right? Sometimes change is necessary. Since our last post to Inside Line, our lifestyle and the way we do business has changed.
In November of 2012, I became quite ill. It had been a long time coming, but I ignored it and pushed on for as long as I could. By the end of November, I could no longer push. Susan took over day-to-day operations of Zero To Sixty Marketing and I concentrated on getting well.
By March 2013, it was clear that long-term change was necessary, as I wouldn’t be coming back to my post on a full-time basis. Susan chose wisely to begin her own business using her unique talents and giftings, and my husband and I continued to operate this business while formulating a new plan for our future.
For three years, we had been talking about selling our home, buying an RV, and hitting the road full-time. Now, my probable diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS) moved us toward making that dream a reality sooner rather than later.
We purchased our new home on wheels in June, sold most of possessions and our home, and began our new nomadic lifestyle on July 25, 2013. Since then we’ve traveled to Colorado, and spent time in South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, North and South Carolina, Florida, and are now in Texas for the winter. My health has improved along the way. We’re happy, staying busy with work, and have met so many other people who are also enjoying life on the road.
We can do business wherever there’s a solid 3g or 4g signal for our MiFi – and that’s a top consideration for every destination. We continue to host websites, provide website design services, create print ads and marketing collateral, as well as offer consulting services by phone, email, or when possible, in-person. A new service we’re offering is that of acting as traveling brand ambassadors on behalf of two hobby manufacturing clients.
