Marketing your business online can take you all day, or – it can be scheduled and make sense. If you don’t make it a priority while you learn to adjust to a new routine, it won’t happen at all. That’s just life, it’s hard to incorporate new things.
Working out, watching what we eat, anything self-improvement related takes an effort. That’s what sets you apart! Give your blog priority placement long enough for it to become second nature.
I tell my clients it’s like pushing a huge boulder off a cliff. Getting it started is the hard part. Once it starts, it’ll just be rolling.
OK, embarrassing admission for the sake of analogy: I used to smoke. It sure wasn’t hard to start that bad habit! It’s not hard to eat cookies all day long, either, but it’s a BAD plan. Why are the good habits the ones we buck and kick about?
Do yourself a HUGE favor, and make a commitment that will impact your business in a major way for GOOD. Start writing down the topics that your customers have been asking you about. Start spending at least 10 uninterrupted minutes free writing (NO rules) and see what comes out of you.
The trick with free writing is that you can’t go back and look at it until the next day. Then you just edit it for correctness. You’ll be SO surprised at the material inside of you that just pours out.
