Do you hate knowing you have so much more to do for your business than previous generations of business owners? They never had to write for themselves or spend time online talking with other people, why should you have to?
Networking has always set businesses apart from each other. In 2012, we’re just adding another ‘tier,’ because we know that when we use social media to interact with people we meet in person, we’re chatting with an interested person who we are genuinely interested in.
Yes. We all agree. It IS more work. But the only thing worse than working more for online attention, is putting in all that effort for NOTHING – which many people do every day!
Not you, you’re an Inside Line subscriber. You know what attitude you have to embrace to do this thing right.
Here’s a tip you may not know. At Zero To Sixty Marketing, we use Hootsuite.com to manage our social media from one dashboard. It has a phone application that’s really sweet. Hootsuite keeps us managing our messages more frequently and helps us interact on a more timely basis. That’s important in today’s rush-rush environment.
We can schedule posts in advance, to our personal and Facebook Business pages and to Twitter. It’s so much easier to interact when we’re not worried about posting our own stuff online.
Hootsuite also has an analytics tool that helps us understand where our audience interest lies. It’s good stuff, and if you’re not using a social media management tool, you should be.
